Our Purpose is to provide 13 week musical youth program in Northern Nevada.
MYCF offers opportunities to perform at various community events, support students in their love for singing, acting, playing instruments and have fun praising! Above all to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through our gifts, talents and singing!
MYCF offers students three classes to choose from and students may join one or all.

Students bring their own audience and are encouraged to invite family and friends to attend their concert!
Rehearsals:
This program is for Moms and Dads, families and friends! It is preferred for parents and younger siblings to wait out in multipurpose room during the hour of practice.
Student's Attendance:
Students are to be prompt for practices and performances, prepared and ready for class.
Students are required to be at all rehearsals unless prior arrangements are made at orientation or phone-up to two days prior to practice day. No tolerance for No calls/No Shows
One of the most important aspects of a good choir is teamwork; therefore, please make practices a priority.
Conduct: Students are to follow performance rules and to be on their best behavior at all practices and performances. Misconduct will be addressed by the Director and the House Mom. Time-outs or an essay will be enforced. The essay topic will be with regard to the misconduct and to be returned to Director by the following practice. No exceptions.
Binders/Music Sheets/Audio Recorders and Recorder Instrument:
Students are required to bring their music binders, recorders and an audio recorder to each practice.
Performance Attire: Choir shirts, Black: pants, shirts, socks and black dress shoes with accessories.
No: Denim materials, tee-shirts, shorts, hiking boots or gym shoes.
Diet for Strong Vocal Muscles:
It’s understood that a hungry or too full of a tummy may not allow the diaphragm to work just right so students are encouraged to eat light prior to practice.
*Practice vocal exercises 10min a day.
*Practice songs 20 minutes minimum three times a week (refusal to practice as scheduled can disqualify the student).
*No dairy products two hours prior to practices and performances.
*Gargle each night and morning with warm water.
*Rest well.
*Get physical exercise.
*Keep hydrated - Drink the minimum of three glasses of water a day.
*Eat more veggies.
*Eat Right.
*You may add to diet: Apples, Salads, Honey, Lemons or Raw Ginger
As we head into our new season of events, we are thrilled about coaching the students, helping them build their love for singing, music, acting and performing through dedication and good work; and through their dedication and hard work everyone’s experience and time will be eventful, fruitful and enjoyable!
