Nevada Discovery Museum Friday, January 6th Who : Children in the 3rd - 5th grade range Time : 9:30am - 11:30am Cost : $3 per child Location : 490 S. Center Street, Reno, NV 89501 What : Exhibit Exploration - This is a two-hour field trip where students and their parents are led through the museum by museum educators. The museum has several different exhibits and galleries including: Nevada Stories, Cloud Climber, Truckee Connects, Build It!, DaVinci's Corner, Little Discoveries, Under the Stars, Spark! Nevada Discovery Museum Friday, January 6th Who : Children in the 6th - 8th grade range Time : 11:30am - 1:30pm Cost : $4 per child Location : 490 S. Center Street, Reno, NV 89501 What : Inquiry Class and Exhibit Exploration - This is a two-hour field trip option where students and their parents attend a 50-minute integrated, standard-aligned science class as well as explore the galleries of the museum. The class the students will attend is Spark! Lab Special. This class is a time for your students to explore the exhibits created at the Spark!Lab in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., right here in Reno, Nevada. Through our partnership, students can learn about the process of invention and have an opportunity to challenge their minds with our open-ended invention challenges. The museum also has several different exhibits and galleries including: Nevada Stories, Cloud Climber, Truckee Connects, Build It!, DaVinci's Corner, Little Discoveries, Under the Stars, Spark! Lab Smithsonian and Picnic Place.

HEOF Activities Policy: RSVP : Families who wish to RSVP for an activity shall contact the hosting leader in a timely manner or as indicated, and provide their name and contact number.
Cancellation Call:
In the event a homeschooling family needs to cancel their reservation for an activity, the family shall contact the activity leader 2 days prior to the activity, except in the case of an emergency.
This will help ensure availability of space for another homeschooling family who may want to participate and/or provide the host facility appropriate planning and an accurate count for attendance. HEOF Member/Non Member Hold Harmless Agreement: In consideration of being allowed to participate in any or all field activities, members and non-members families agree to indemnify, defend and hold free and harmless HEOF whose principle place of business is the state of Nevada and each of its members, agents, servants, employees, officers and directors, field trip leaders, activities hosts and their appropriate companies from and against any and all actions, claims, liabilities, assertions of liability, losses, cost, and expense, including, but not limited to, attorney fees, reasonable investigative and discovery costs and court cost, which in any manner may arise or alleged to have arisen or resulted , or alleged to have resulted, from the participation in any field trip or activity, including but not limited to, any claim or claims for bodily injury or death. This Agreement is intended to cover all acts or omissions of HEOF., which may be asserted as the proximate cause of any bodily injury or death. Board of Directors shall not be personally liable for the debts, liabilities or other obligations of the organizations. In addition to this agreement, participating parents agree and understand that they will take full responsibility for their own children, to over see them, and in any event his/her own child has caused destruction to the property being used hosted by or for HEOF through field/activities you agree and they take full responsibility to pay in full for any or all damages cause by their child. Parents shall sign (sign-in log) that they have read, agreed, and understood the Agreement set forth above at each activity.
